CHANGE FOR CHANGE

The school collected $657.00 in donations. Thanks to everyone’s generosity the holidays will be a little brighter for some of our Brentwood families.

SCIENCE FAIR DATE MOVED

The science fair is being moved up to January 29, 2009.  Projects will be due January 28, so work on them over the holidays.  The Saturday Boot Camp date has been moved to January 24.  We are going to have a great turn out!  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Lisa Boone @ 796-6752 or lboone@grandecom.net.  Check out these web sites for some cool project ideas:

LOST AND FOUND

Brrr!  It’s cold outside, but do you know where your child’s jackets and sweaters are?  If not, please check the lost and found tree next to the gym.  There are lots of coats waiting to be claimed.  Check it out before school ends this week.

BOX TOP SHOPPING

Everyone can do their holiday shopping through the Box Tops web site.  Go to http://www.btfe.com/marketplace.  You will be able to shop at many popular places, and a percentage goes back to Brentwood.  Anyone with questions can call Karrie Mannella at 468-5746.

MILK JUGS

Milk jugs are still needed for the neighborhood’s annual display of holiday luminaries along Arroyo Seco.  You can donate them at collection boxes at Minimax IGA, or drop them at 1211 Dwyce.

FIT FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Why not join some Brentwood teachers in a Kinetic Fit Camp that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.?  The class will meet in the gymnasium.  For more information, email sarahstewarttraining@msn.com or call Sarah at 797-1933.  You may also visit her web site at www.sarahstewarttraining.com.  The class will meet through Dec. 18, then restart when school resumes.  Cost is $12 per class, but might be lowered if enough people sign up.

Have a great winter break!!  The Bark will resume again after school starts again in January.
