Thanks to all of the wonderful parents, grandparents, and friends of Brentwood who watched our classes so that we could go to lunch last week! It was a wonderful way to show your gratitude, and we did, truly, feel appreciated! A big thanks, also, to Lisa Doyal and Lisa Holden, who coordinated the master schedule, and made sure that all classes had coverage, and that all teachers and TAs were included! -Belinda Avey
Please thank all the parents and grandparents who helped make the Kindergarten Cowhand Cookout so successful. The children had a fantastic time! We could not have such fun events without the help of our wonderful families. Also, we would like to thank TacoDeli again for donating the food for the talent show night dinner. It was a great success! Thank you for supporting our school by eating dinner at the talent show.

Help some neighbors in need:
Relatives of a student at Brentwood Elementary recently had an electrical fire that burned their house down. Due to the age of their home, it was a total loss without insurance coverage. The family is in need of gently used clothing for their nine year old son (boy size: 7 shirts, 8 pants 2 1/2 shoes). If you would like to make a donation their will be a box outside of room 109. –Ms. Sluyter
It’s last call for the Boxtops Store!
Friday is the last day for the kids to buy things from the Boxtops Store, so don’t forget to send your boxtops stash with your child. The store will be open from 7:10 to 7:40 in the morning. The kids will be limited to two items each, so please donate the boxtops you won’t use this year. You can put them in one of the bins next to the store or just drop them off that morning. These tiny bits of cardboard brought in over $1000 this year, and we’re trying for even more next year. So keeping clipping!
Bulldog Bags have been delivered!! They look great!!
The first round of bag orders went home with the children on Wednesday, but it’s not too late to order your reusable grocery totes from the Brentwood PTA. A portion of the funds collected will go towards replacing our broken and tattered gym equipment. Please help improve our school and our environment by ordering your bags today. To order your bags, you can call Carla at 567-1478 or Lisa at 453-2385. Bags are $4.00 each
You can also purchase your reusable Bulldog Grocery bag at Brentwood school on Friday, May 30 in the morning before school and after school and again on Saturday, May 31 from 10-6 at the Crestview Minimax. We need volunteers to help with this sale. Please contact Meredith Roddy at 554-7752 to sign up for a shift.
Teacher Appreciation Month

Homeroom Rep Coordinator( s) wanted for the 2008-2009 school year! This
position may be held by one or two people and is a great volunteer
opportunity to work with children, teachers and administrative staff!
You’ll coordinate Homeroom Reps in planning parent participation in such
events as the school carnival, Teacher Appreciation Month and other events
